Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy Library has an exciting new ‘Welton Wonder Challenge’ that all KS3 pupils are encouraged to take part in and for the chance to win some great prizes.
At the beginning of each half term a book will be set, for example, the book that has been chosen for this half term is Holes by Louis Sachar. The challenge will be for pupils to read the chosen book and to then to take an Accelerated Reader Quiz within 6 weeks. Pupils who complete the challenge will be awarded the title of ‘Welton Wonder’ and receive a choice of either a week of lunchtime queue jump passes or a week of lunch time passes to come to the library.
If pupils successfully read and pass on all 6 books in the school year then they will be awarded at the end of the school year with a celebratory feast and movie afternoon.
A huge congratulation to the first Welton Wonders:
Maisie Godfrey – 7MGI
Harry Ottley – 7MGI
Mohammed Anwari – 8ZHS
Josh Turner – 8ZHS
Please encourage your child to take part in the ‘Welton Wonder’ challenge!
