William Morris Building:  This is our design, digital media, technology and arts centre that caters for all students across the Academy.  The building is home to The Stationers’ Digital Media Centre which opened in 2017;  product design workshops; food technology; art; graphics and photography.

The 2012 Centre is the Academy sports centre. It has a full sized sports hall with audience seating and can offer Olympic standard basketball/volleyball facilities. The Japanese volleyball team used our facilities as their training base for the 2012 Olympics. The sports hall can be sub divided into 3 physical education spaces. The centre also contains an activity studio for dance and other activities along with two general classrooms. The sports field has a full sized, all weather floodlit sports area, a multi-use games area and three football pitches.

The Symphony Centre contains the Academy inclusion facilities on the ground and first floors and music facilities on the second floor. The inclusion facilities include two designated special provisions for visual impairment and moderate learning difficulties, provision for general learning support and for those students with English as a second language. The music department is very well equipped with 2 classrooms, a recital room, 9 music practice rooms and a recording studio.

The Library is situated in the Crown Building, our Library supports learning across all subjects as well as encouraging students to read for pleasure.  It is a very special and inspiring place for students of all backgrounds and abilities to come to; a place where they feel valued in a friendly and comfortable environment.  Stocked with over  3,800 fiction books and in excess of 5,700 non-fiction books available for students to borrow. There are also magazines and newspapers which may be read during break or after school. There are 19 computers which can be used for homework or information retrieval, as well as an interactive whiteboard (the library is often used for lessons) and a printer/photocopier. All year 7 and 8 students have timetabled library lessons, and may also use the library during break time or after school when the library is open until 3.40pm.
