The William Morris Centre has a special place in Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy and provides a diverse 11-18 curriculum designed to meet the needs and interests of our young people.
Striving for excellence, William Morris serves KS3 and KS4 pupils in Ashdown, Delamere, Sherwood and Sixth Form students in Arden.
KS3 pupils follow the National Curriculum in Art, DT, Drama and Music. Provision for 14-19 year old students in William Morris follows 2 distinct routes; a traditional academic curriculum with GCSEs offered in Art and Design, Catering, DT Graphic Products, DT Product Design, Drama and Music. At ‘A’ Level we offer Fine Art, Photography, DT Product Design, Drama and Music Technology.
The vocational route offers an alternative practical and technical approach to learning for pupils considering further education and/or a career in one of the STEM industries.
First class facilities, enrichment and outstanding teaching combine to provide a specialist, creative and caring environment which nurtures our young people, developing imaginations and technical skills to help them realise their potential. Teaching staff are committed to developing the diverse talents of our students through encouragement and an exciting and challenging broad and yet specialist curriculum, supported by a wide range of extra-curricular on and off-site enrichment activities including visits to museums, theatre, and performances.
We have developed links with Greenwich University, Ravensbourne University, London College of Communication, Rose Buford College and STEMNET.
The needs, aspirations and interests of the individual are placed at the heart of William Morris and we endeavour to offer a stimulating education in technology and creative and performing arts dependent on individual interests and shaping future career aspirations.
