Collection, Presentation and Analysis of Data

During Maths lessons this half-term Mr Royston’s class have been studying the collection, presentation and analysis of data. As part of this unit of work pupils were asked to decide on a topic that they would like to investigate and set about a real-life data project. Over the course of the last few weeks lessons this has become somewhat of a competition with all pupils vying to have their project selected for the ‘Sherwood Book of Scholars’. There were some fantastic pieces of work and Mrs Williams came into Wednesday’s lesson to judge the winners, she was truly blown away by the quality and detail of the work on display. The winners were Charles and Kai for their project based on school meals and the runners-up were Ellie, Tidianna and Danielle for their in-depth research into popular brands. Congratulations to the whole class though as the work produced was of an excellent standard with great care taken in the presentation of the work too.
