Extreme Weather Guidance – 16th June 2022

Dear Parent/Carer

It has been widely reported that Friday 17 June 2022 will be one of the hottest days of the year. As a measure to ensure students are safe and remain as comfortable as possible we are recommending that students not bring their blazers to school. This arrangement will only apply to Friday 17 June 2022 and students will be expected to follow all other uniform expectations as usual. This includes tucking the shirt in at all times and wearing their ties in the expected manner.

Additionally, we would like to recommend the following guidance and advice is shared with your child:

  • Please ensure you drink plenty of water throughout the day; and
  • Apply sunscreen before the school day for protection.

If and when we have reports of extreme weather conditions we will communicate special arrangements as required.

Finally, please remind your child/ren that if they engage in any inappropriate behaviour involving water they will be facing a severe sanction. This applies to before, during and after school.

With best wishes

Mr D Boothe | Vice Principal
