Safeguarding Website

Dear Parents, Carers & Families,

As you may have seen, we have reviewed how we share safeguarding information on our website and have created a new tab specifically for this area with information and links to different websites and resources that may be helpful and useful for families, parents/carers and students.

The tab allows families to locate information about safeguarding in one area; you’ll find key documents including Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021, SCWA Child Protection Policy and Working Together to Safeguard Children in one location. You will also find links and resources to different safeguarding areas including healthy and respectful relationships, online safety and peer-on-peer abuse. We will continue to review this area on our website and will add new resources/information throughout the year.

We have added another new website link today; the Government has launched a new advice and support site to help keep children safe from sexual abuse. The link that has been added to the website is Stop abuse together. The site includes advice for parents and carers on spotting the signs of sexual abuse and speaking to your child about relationships and safety. It also signposts to sources of further support for children, adults and professionals including the NSPCC helpline and Childline.

Best Wishes,

Ms A Croft
