Congratulations to all our Year 11 students in what has been a challenging and quite extraordinary Key Stage 4 experience. We are delighted with the resilience, fortitude, and perseverance that they have displayed during what have been one of the most challenging periods in education within living memory.
Although our students did not sit public examinations this summer, the results that they have received are, we believe, an accurate reflection of what they deserved. These results are the outcome of a detailed and rigorous process which has taken into account their performance in the assessment period which took place during Module 5 (April – May). Overall, these results reflect the position of the school which is one of continuous improvement on our way to becoming the first-choice secondary school for our local community.
The academy has enjoyed a significant increase in grades awarded at 7 and above, as well as substantial increases in the number of students achieving strong and standard passes in both English and maths.
We were delighted to welcome many of our students back into the academy today and to see lots of very happy faces as they collected their results! We wish all our former year 11 students the very best for the future and can’t wait to welcome many of them back in September as they embark on the next exciting phase of their educational journey at Arden sixth form. This was truly an exceptional year group in what has been an extraordinary year!
