SCWA Visit Bletchley Park

Computer Science students in Year 11 made the journey to Bletchley Park, Home of Computing. This was where Nazi communications were intercepted during the Second World War and were cracked with the help of the Bombe machine, designed and built by Alan Turing. It is estimated that the work done here in secret saved fourteen million lives throughout the conflict and shortened the war from between four and eight years. Full story in the next newsletter.
