Dear Parent/Carers,
I am incredibly proud to be one of the Vice Principal’s at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy and Head of School for Ashdown School. I am extremely proud to also be serving my local community where I was born and raised. This makes me even more determined to ensure every student has the best possible opportunities to meet their needs and aspirations.
Ashdown is made up of around 450 mixed ability students. Our small school model means that students develop a true sense of belonging during their time with us. It enables us to provide high-quality pastoral support to ensure your child is supported both academically and pastorally. Every child is provided with a form tutor and has access to our very experienced team of Student Support Managers, Heads of Year and small school leadership team. We also offer a range of support, intervention and extra-curricular clubs to help develop skills in all of our young people.
At Stationers’ Crown Woods we are passionate about providing every student with a first class education and firmly believe in our Academy values ‘Scholarship, Fellowship and Leadership’. I am proud that we are an International Baccalaureate World School with a carefully throughout curriculum and personal development programme to engage, challenge and equip students to become life long, global learners.
I am an experienced leader with a proven track record of raising standards across two previous Leigh Academies Trust academies and very much look forward to building on these and supporting your child through their secondary education, ensuring that regardless of their starting points or backgrounds they can flourish and succeed.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to our Academy and please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
Anthony Farr
Vice Principal (Lead for Behaviour & Attendance)
