Dear Parents/Carers
Further to my previous communications regarding parents’ evenings, I am delighted to confirm that the booking window for the Year 7 Parents’ Evening will open on Tuesday 4 January 2022 @ 7pm and close on Tuesday 11 January 2022 @ 11.55pm.
To ensure that you are able to secure your preferred appointment slots, it is advised that you book as soon as possible once the booking window opens. If you are unable to secure an appointment with your child’s teacher, the SchoolCloud system will allow you to place yourself on a waiting list; an appointment will then be booked on your behalf if one becomes available. If you are unable to book an appointment with a particular teacher, have any queries, or need to make alternative arrangements you can contact them by email; If you wish to communicate via email please use the format: firstname.lastname@scwa.org.uk.
As mentioned in my previous letter, parents’ evenings are key communication events in the academy’s calendar. They award you with the opportunity to receive feedback about your child’s progress, discuss their strengths and areas for development and plan for improvements. They complement the Yr7 progress reports which will be sent to parents/scarers at the end of the Autumn. Please note that parents are welcome to contact their child’s home school at any time during the course of the academic year to ask for feedback on their child if they have concerns.
You are invited to book your appointments using our new system. You will receive an email confirming the appointments you have made. Please note that we are only able to schedule one appointment for each student per subject, so parents/carers who are the main contact for your child should book appointments.
Please visit https://scwa.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointments and login. The log-in screen has an icon which will require you to fill in ‘Your Details’ (as a parent) and a ‘Student Details’ section which relates to your child.
