Dear Parent/Carer
YEAR 7 TRANSITION
We are excited to be welcoming your child to our Transition Day on Wednesday 6 July 2022. The day will be a fantastic opportunity for your child to experience life at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy. Through the day they will meet students and teachers, have a welcome assembly, engage in some example lessons and experience break and lunchtime.
Arrival and Collection
Students should arrive promptly for a 9.00am start and parents/carers should escort them to the Crown Building foyer where they will be allocated a group for the day, students must arrive at the academy accompanied by an adult. Please note, there is no on-site parking available; for those with access requirements please telephone the academy reception in advance of the day. Payments for the September residential must be given to Mrs Roberts at Main Reception in an envelope clearly marked with ‘Year 7 Residential’ and your child’s name. All cheques should be made out to ‘Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy’.
The day will end at 1.30pm where students will be collected from the Main Hall. Students will only be dismissed when a designated adult arrives to collect them.
Uniform and Medication
Students should arrive in their primary school uniform and bring any medication that they require in a labelled plastic bag.
If there have been any changes to emergency contact details, allergy or medical information since completing the data collection form please email updated information to transitions@scwa.org.uk in advance of Wednesday 6 July 2022.
Lunch and Break
Students will be provided with a free lunch option of:
- a main meal and drink; or
- a sandwich, cake and drink
Alternatively, they are welcome to bring a packed lunch if they would prefer. Students should also bring a drink for themselves during the day and a snack for them to have during break if they wish.
Further Questions
We will be unable to confirm which small school students are allocated to until the final week of term and as such will not have this information available for Transition Day on Wednesday 6 July.
Due to time restrictions on the day we would ask that any questions are either asked at the end of the day upon collection or emailed to transitions@scwa.org.uk and so that we are able to respond.
