Thank you for taking the time to visit our Key Stage 4 Options website.

This site is dedicated to guiding our Year 9 students through the important process of selecting their courses for Key Stage 4. This marks a significant milestone in their educational journey as they begin to shape their future pathways. They will be expected to make informed decisions about the subjects they wish to continue studying to support them to achieve their future educational goals and career aspirations.

We are unapologetically ambitious for our pupils and aim for the majority of them to study the English Baccalaureate (EBacc). The EBacc offers a robust academic foundation and well-rounded education, encompassing core subjects that cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and cultural capital. This commitment to academic excellence prepares our students not just for further study but also for success in an ever-evolving job market.

Choosing the right subjects is not merely about fulfilling academic requirements, it’s about empowering our pupils to pursue their passions, interests, and ambitions. Here at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy, we believe in providing a diverse range of options that cater to individual strengths and preferences, ensuring that each student receives a tailored educational experience that will prepare them for their future. It is for this reason that we’re exceptionally proud to be offering a much broader range of vocational qualifications than we have ever done before.

On this website, you will find comprehensive information about the various qualifications available, including information about the course content, how the qualification will be assessed and insights into potential career paths or further study. Our aim is to support students in making decisions that align with their talents, interests, and long-term aspirations.

I encourage pupils to explore this website with their families, engage in discussions about the options available, seek advice from teachers and small school pastoral leaders, and ultimately make informed choices that resonate with their personal aspirations and academic strengths.

We thank you for your invaluable support and engagement in this process.
